Dob on a neighbour in a specific and limited way?

I can't remember where I read or heard it, but iirc someone once said that you could make motorways 50 lanes wide, and most people would still cram themselves into the outside 2......
That wouldn't surprise me

The section of M25 I mentioned is now virtually all variable speed limit. Some of the slip roads on have traffic lights and I thinks it's all pretty much all 4 lane. Rush now starts to kick in at 6.00 am.....

I've got adaptive cruise control*. It's great on the motorway as it keeps the correct distance from the car in front. It's amazing how few people actually maintain a 2 second distance. When it's wet you're supposed to double it, it's very rare that anyone else does.

*left to my own devices I'm not perfect either although I think I've gotten better. The ACC also means I can spend more time observing my surroundings and being disappointed by everyone else on the road.
What with coronavirus it is probably best to put 'air recirculate' on when you are doing a bit of tailgating.

As long as you are fit and healthy and you've had your BCG jab, Covid is unlikely to cause you any significant issues.

And young. As long as you've chosen to be young and healthy you're probably fine.

Apart from those who aren't.

Where was all this care for others when Austerity and cuts to healthcare caused 120k excess deaths? Championing cuts and defending the Government.

120,000 deaths because of austerity?
Left wing clap trap as usual. Spread by corbyn and his zealous acolytes.

He pointed out that while something seems to have happened in 2014 that caused deaths in the UK to rise, “the link to health and social care spending is speculative as observational studies of this type can never prove case and effect.”

Dr Richard Fordham, senior lecturer in health economics at the University of East Anglia, was also cautious about such “longitudinal studies,” noting that “different time periods are rarely identical.” So it may not be fair to compare trends from one decade (the 2000s) with another (the early 2010s), as this study has done.

Ultimately, we cannot say — based on the evidence in this study — that austerity policies caused 120,000 extra deaths.

Lockdown is a good precaution for people in high risk groups. It would mean that those with low risks can keep the economy going.

my sons gf was furloughed from her Saturday job. Nice bit of pocket money for nothing courtesy of the tax payer. Lockdown 2.0 needs to be risk based.

I think extensive test and trace is the solution.
Lockdown is a blunt instrument, prob necessary the first time, we can't afford to do it again

I think extensive test and trace is the solution.

That solution only tells you where the infection is and who has been infected, on it's own it does nothing to prevent the continuing spread of the virus.

It would still need localised lock down of those infected to prevent them spreading the virus.

Yes indeed.

I should have been clearer by specifying national lockdown.

sections......every lane would be doing between 70 to 85 solid traffic, all 3 lanes with a rizla between vehicles. Probably one in two journeys I would pass an accident.
Indeed...Yet many stupid people would argue the two factors are not related!!!.

Back in the early 90s I used to drive to and from Uni regularly on the M25, b
You went to Uni later in life then Notch?I was going to go back to do Aeronautics when I was about 26 ..Felt ancient when I met the other students.
