Ideas for garage door paneling

Hi guys,

I'm just after some suggestions with what to do with our garage door, at the moment it's just boarded over with ply and has a 1/3 door opening. It'll never be used for a car.

I'm thinking of pvc shiplap cladding it Ash black to match the rest of the exterior but wondered if anyone had any other ideas? (pic attached)

Oh forgot to ask, if I did go down the shiplap route would I need to fix it to any timber batons or could I just fix direct to the existing marine ply boards? Would I need any water proof sheeting between? Thanks!

You can fix directly to doors.

sorry to revive this thread - still havent got round to doing this yet, but i've had an idea - could fix (glue/sealant) Black Ash Soffit Boards directly to this rather than use shiplap? The main reason for this is that the soffit boards are thinner (I might have an issue opening the door!)

True but £1400 vs £400 ish for cladding. Also, it will never be used for a car.
