water appearing on concrete garage floor

External garage separate to the main house, single skin brick with a pitched roof.

Whenever there is a heavy downpour, it appears that the rainwater is coming up through the concrete floor, primarily the pool of water appears alongside the internal walls in the corner but not all over the concrete floor

Outside I can see a DPC has been fitted

What would need to be done to remedy this?

Would a liquid DPM or tanking slurry rectify the above?

I'm guessing this occurring is because whoever built the garage didn't lay a Membrane before laying the concrete floor

Any advice would be appreciated

Yep 100% as the water is away from the garage door, primarily the water appears at the left corner of the garage and about one to two metres alongside the wall on the concrete floor

Water can be coming up and across due to no DPM around the slab, or it can be coming down the wall and across above the DPC if its level with the slab surface.

If it was coming across the walls would these be damp/wet? The walls are bone dry

If I apply a liquid DPM or tanking slurry would this resolve it to the concrete floor?

Or is there anything else you would recommend?

You would need to do the whole floor, and part of the wall depending on the arrangement of the DPC. The problem with surface coatings in a garage is that they can get damaged easily, also if the floor slab moves even slightly the joist at the wall junction will crack.

I've tended to use products from BAL, which are two part resin but for inside room floors.

Have a look at Stopgap F77, or browse the flooring forum for other posts and products. See if there is once that does not need a protection layer and is flexible.

An asphalt coat will do, but that would be from specialist contractors.
