Mixed up cables when changing 2 gang 1 way light switch.

You have the wrong switch, at the moment you have 2 x 1 way switches and you need the same as a replacement.

Don't forget that this is a Singapore Switch and Singapore wiring regs.

It is a suitable replacement.
It will work with the wiring method mentioned earlier by Terry. The original switches had two Incoming Lines, which were connected with a jumper wire. For this new switch this is done at the 'L' connection. So it is identical.

I have seen this layout before ,albeit not that particular brand ( litewave from memory )The L ( com) terminal is shared to both gangs ,it is a 2 gang ,one way switch.

Electricity is the same everywhere, and if you have a 2 gang 1 way switch with 4 terminals you cannot replace it with a thing with 3 terminals.

So in this case,
The jumper between two separate terminals is replaced by one common terminal.

Very wrong, the closest you get with a 3 terminal switch ie 2 way, is to have one or the other lights on.

It is 2 separate switches, both of which are one way, with a single input connection, and a single output from each switch.

The inputs to the two switches are combined - the Live goes in this single connection.
There are then two outputs - one coming from each of the two switches.

So a live goes into the combined input connector.
And two separate switched_live, come out separately from the two switches, to power two separate lights.
