Hey all,

I have a betacom 28 boiler and I’m not sure how to pressurise it again. Currently the boiler’s on 0.9BAR (it has dropped but it’s been gradual) I’ve noticed after bleeding the radiators recently

I’m hoping it solves the issue I’ve got with the hot water. The heating still works, the hot water is hot but only for like a minute, and then it goes cold, then hot again.

I’ve got the photos attached for how to repressurise

thanks for any help

On the picture with the loop of braided hose, open up the right hand valve (screwdriver slot) slowly, the left one is already open. Watch the pressure rise, to approx 1.2 - 1.5 bar, and close both valves.

How long for? I’ve heard for like 10 seconds is that right, doesn’t seem like a lot

and I have to wait for the boiler to be cold before doing it? I’m assuming that’s to stop boiling my hands bleeding radiators to equalise pressure?

And thank you!

If you’re doing it whilst hot, then the reading will be slightly inaccurate because of the expansion. However long it takes to get to the pressure I’ve suggested.

The pressure has nothing to do with your domestic hot water running hot / cold/ hot/ cold repeatedly.
That's a seperate issue altogether.
