Thank you for your input! However, the planks, namely floorboards, are about 8' long x 6" wide, hence the request for advice about blade for jigsaw.

The coarsest cut (largest teeth) you can get with the biggest amount of side set. Blades marked "coarse" or "speed" are worth looking at. Maybe something like a U144D blade would be suitable
