I remember meeting a Black lad in Toronto Airport and having a great conversation with a black lad from Battersea in Thailand. the only difference between us was they were black and I was white. We were all as English as each other.

All developed nations have a welfare state of some form, but we seem to think that we don't need one.

You are stuck in the notion that people who earn more money than others should bear the cost of free school meals for those that have fallen on hard times - rather than spend much time and energy garnering public support, raising awareness and encouraging the government to do their job properly.

It's a pity we have such a government that fully supports and openly facilitates millionaire's to become billionaires but can only scrape together a few spuds and a bag of pasta for sprogs that just need a good feed.

At least the MP canteen is fully stocked and well subsidised.
