Bonding gutter

So this is the next job, I thought I'd ask before rather than half way through this time!

Is it:

strip roof on my side and across neighbours side to expose his first rafter,

felt and batten to his first rafter,

fit dry bonding gutter centrally (there is a line of tiles running fairly straight down the centre),

reinstate neighbours tiles with cut halves,

tile my side up to the upstand - dry lay or measure the first row to ensure a full tile finishes in the right place?

What do I do at the chimney? Something with lead I presume?

Are you changing tile type?
New joists? Doing room in the loft ?
You should speak to your neighbour
Certainly not use cut half tiles.

I'm using flat interlocking tiles (Donard).

Nothing changing in loft - the new joist and steel is from previous removal of chimney breast.

My Neighbour is on board, he's definitely having his roof replaced but has been struggling to find a roofer (to the point that he was asking me to do it!) - I have given him details of the tiles and where I got them in the hope that we can co-ordinate on the front face (I'm only in a great rush to do the back at the moment because of my extension joining it) - I suppose if he uses the same tiles his roofers could remove the bonding gutter from the back face so it could be semi temporary - but I really don't know if your average roofer could be bothered

If I don't use half tiles how to I get those acme's up to the upstand on the gutter?

Thanks. 43 rows of tiles so 22 tile and a half picked up today, hopefully I'm right in thinking it's one every other row! I'll be back when I get to the chimney to ask about the lead up there.

Lansdowne Roofing Supplies, Chadderton - they mainly do slate but had a few lying around, not a perfect colour match but I don't think they'll be on for long - which pains me at £2 each!

Aye I've been there before, I'll buy them off you for a pound each when your done with them if that will make you feel better

It's done. A bit rough and ready with the old and new battens meeting etc and I had to trim most of the tiles as they were in and out but hopefully ok as a temporary job. I've tried to leave it underneath so that next door's roofer can get his membrane under my battens when he comes to do it.

Now I'm wondering how I do the lead at the top, I'm thinking a separate piece either side of the upstand (that way I can reuse the old piece for nextdoor and do my side in new) with a saddle piece over the top?
