Best NVR for Annke 4k cameras

The issue wrt to NVR's is what protocols the cameras support, if the NVR works well then there is no need to upgrade?
If the system doesn't work/ work well and there is poor support then returning the equipment and getting a refund and getting something else, maybe a way forward. guessing 4K they are relatively new?

Yes cameras are good and using Hik vision app is ok - suppose nvr records ok - just clunky
