I have a mixer tap in the shower which has been dripping recently. I wanted to have a go at changing the valve myself rather than pay 100 quid which the plumber asked for. But I cant unscrew it. Probably years of limescale build. Is there something I can do to make it easy to unscrew. I can unscrew 2 of them only one I am struggling with. Appreciate any help. Thanks

The screw!
I knew it was the screw but which screw would not unscrew? The grub screw?

Cover it with limescale remover then wrap some electricians tape around it and undo with grips/pliers. Then you'll need a set of hex keys to undo the grub screws beneath each post. Then you'll need other tools to get the rest of the gearbox dismantled and the cartridges out.
