And conveniently distorting history.(and conveniently ignoring the fact the Great Britain led the world in abolishing slavery)
We shouldn't be talking about one histrical slave trade without discussing the other, and lets remember virtually all the slaves rounded up for export to the americas was done by black african tribes.
But we shouldn't even be discussing slavery from 200 years ago (which the UK had abolished) We should be talking about what is happening now

India (8 million),
China (3.86 million)
Pakistan (3.19 million)
North Korea (2.64 million)
Nigeria (1.39 million)
Indonesia (1.22 million)
DR Congo (1 million)
Russia (794,000)
Philippines (784,000).
And then there is current day Africa

but hey, lets worry about a statue in Oxford, because anything else would be racist.
That's odd. Why did other countries bother with it for many years after the UK banned it, if it was not profitable?....once it was no longer profitable

You've conveniently omitted UK, as is usual in these kind of discussions:We shouldn't be talking about one histrical slave trade without discussing the other, and lets remember virtually all the slaves rounded up for export to the americas was done by black african tribes.

Ask transam about the Stockholm Syndrome, he keeps going on about it.We shouldn't be talking about one histrical slave trade without discussing the other, and lets remember virtually all the slaves rounded up for export to the americas was done by black african tribes.
thats a bit cynical

Bigotry as its best.because it's not convenient for the blacks of today, as they cannot hide behind that.
They need to feel victimised to promote themselves and keep themselves at the forefront of peoples mind, just as we got to a point where very few really gave a monkey's about skin colour.
what happened 200 years ago has not affected people born in the last 50-100 years, the black youth of today have not suffered because of slavery, and without slavery would they even be here today?
whats done is done, move on change tomorrow, you cant change yesterday.

I was watching the program celebrating mr me and little miss books last week, and would you believe there is morons out there even trying to pull the, stories apart for one reason or another, saying that some of the stories suppressed women and other rubbish i switched off cos i couldnt listen to it. but for the love of god when is it going to stop.

You recognise the cruelty and inhumanity of slavery, but you want to ignore that suffered by the worst of the slave trade in human history? We shouldn't be talking about one histrical slave trade without discussing the other, and lets remember virtually all the slaves rounded up for export to the americas was done by black african tribes.
