They threatened Corbyn would take us back to the 70s.. But the Tories did

What, sending a kid round the shop to get some cold drinks is 'teaching' in your world? It was just a turn of phrase I used over 10 years ago you nit-picking idiot. Hey, Ms Metric, what would you say when some pricks try to explain things in imperial measurements?

I wonder how long you took to find that...

Not that you don't have a lot of time on your hands, what with getting paid for not working...

And I see that when your idiocy is pointed out, you revert to stupid gender remarks. Really very sad!

Being young enough I probably wouldn't have a clue about an archaic monetary system, nor could I fathom most archaic measurements...

Mind you since we are being flung back into a bygone era, there will no doubt be an online petition to drop a system based on tens and get control of our currency back.

And thinking about it, why not get rid of computers and calculators and go back to logarithm tables?

Borisconi could be the Pol Pot of the UK

Wasn't talking about new cars being sold from new,

But they are still big business in the US and growing. Especially in performance builds, whereas the rest of the world has moved on and ditched carbs especially in race and modified applications. But the Americans still plod on.

America is an odd country, they are both modern and ancient at the same time.

On a hot day over ten years ago, I had six students in the centre so I sent a student round the shop to get 'half a dozen' cans of coke. He came back with none. When I asked why, he said he didn’t know how many half a dozen was. I said he should have asked someone in the shop. He said he did but they didn’t know either!

The irony. About 5 years ago you voted for something you had no idea about and still don't.

hmm the irony that we have all been injected including you with a vaccine that was brought to
Market with in a few weeks and you have no idea as to what the results could be

and still don’t :)

Call me old fashioned, but there's something inherently sexy about a V8 block straddled by a 4 port Holley.

the sniper system basically looks like a holly carb

pretty much a straight replacement apart from 3 wires and. 2 sensors

I got talked into it

He doesn't care.

I think he does know, and he does care, as do I.
Like me, I think he voted to leave an organisation that was one more treaty away from the total surrender of the running of our country, our finances, our currency and our future. Like me, I think he voted to escape the tyranny of an unelected Stasi bunch of sketchy c***s like France and Germany who's very survival depends on crushing the poorer EU countries in the south. (for every trade surplus there needs to be a trade deficit), Like me, I think he voted for an independence that means we control our own trade, our own fishing waters and our own future direction, our own position in the world. Like me, I think he voted for a country that's not subservient to EU laws or the European court of human rights that would see us treat terrorists like royalty, like me, I think he voted for a system where we dictate immigration laws to prevent a flood of cheap labour that achieves nothing other than driving down wages to make the Liberal elite even wealthier than they already are.

I suspect that like me, Mottie has sat back in his armchair this week, watched the news about rising wages, the sketchy French ****s bleating about losing the opportunity to rip off the Aussies, the EU being sidelined in an international defence protocol despite doing everything to undermine NATO, the riots in France, the EU dependence on Russia etc etc etc and thought to himself...

**** me, I was right.

My teenage years, other than drinking and shagging seemed to be mainly taken up with tuning twin SU's on the various Spitfires I owned.

Nostalgia is alive and kicking on DIYnot. I wonder if The Empire sentimentalists will vote to bring back poorly starting British cars and ill health next?
