moving a radiator (1 foot)

I'd like to replace a radiator in my hall with a vertical and at the same time move it 1 foot to the left.

I've not tackled this before but after watching a few youtube videos and reading a few articles it doesn't seem too difficult.

The current radiator looks like it has a drain off valve and is 10mm microbore.

My plan is to;

turn of water and boiler elec's.
drain system down from the drain off valve.
remove radiator
cut a couple of holes in platerboard around existing pipework.
cut a couple of pieces of new microbore to the correct length to move rad to left 1ft
solder new pipe to existing (in wall cavity)
mount new radiator to the wall and connect pipework
refill system
patch up holes I cut

the only slight concern I have is that the house is using a boilermate 2000, and they can be a bit fiddly to refill.

Is there anything I've missed or need to lookout for?

Add thermostatic radiator valve and also check you are happy to only have 50% or less output. I think what you propose is going to be quite tricky for a first time plumber

Why 50% less? because of the size and mirror?
The btu output for the new rad is is 1744

The existing rad is more efficient and will be around 3500btu

Why is that important? Or do you mean because of the TRV?

Double check your new vertical rad, some have a positional baffle fitted (not all) but if it does you have to have the flow and return the correct way round or it wont work

Thanks, good advice! I hadn't realised it was swapped. If I'm changing the pipework it would make sense to get it right even if there isn't a baffle.

Making a start..

Just want to double check I'm installing this the correct way...

The current rad has inlet on right. I need to swap and have the hot inlet an TRV on the left of the Vertical.

If I look into the bottom pipe of the vertical I can see a baffle. Its closer the the left side.
