What I have noted that when a passenger jet or especially one of those executive jets that land at Biggin Hill
and they are making a tight turn or avoiding the city/LHR airports traffic the jet start to make a whistling sound and most people are now looking up

The good news is that Putin practices equality and he will sink the mainland in order to ensure a minimum response from, if we are luck one of our subs as one is in for reapirs and I'm sure at least one will be taken out as it is being followed by two Russian subs 24/7.

The 4 min window has long gone it's more likely a 20 second warning if you are lucky

A friend of my OH has lived in Kent, nice big house/detached, with massive front and rear gardens for all properties in their area. He and some others have started building and or buying and having installed nuclear bunkers with military rations. He cites that they are not on the one of the top 30 direct hit/attacks in England annd therefore should be ok as can be. They bought military rations and and anti-radiation tablets he says. Initially, I thought he was joking until I saw the pics. The ventilation system is hand driven and a full wind up lasts 2 hours with 2 adults and two children. He said that some on his road/area have actually moved to Newzealand, one to Fiji and a couple to Aus for extended hols as they all have properties there.

In the USA I think there are at least 500k indenepnt nuke bunkers, end of the world bunkers and possibly a few thousand offical gov owned bunkers

Not sure how many the uk has for the officials and MP's inc the PM the Royal family, etc.

The BT bunkers may be a myth but it was noted that they are easy to defend from the population and if the area around them is flattened still easy to communicate with others. Some one needs to be in control idea even if we are all dead.

Given the speed of the super sonic missiles it would be like being hit in the head with a high velocity bullet - you hear the bang after your dead - or after being hit if else where.

The Swiss are said to have bunkers for all and a TV program showed some German ones that they are thinking of dusting off.

The nukes used on Japan were aimed at ending production of items used in weaponry to take over the country. MAD may mean leaving nothing worth taking over or hitting areas that have most effect on a country. That may mean London in the case of the UK which would also take it out as a financial centre. It would take more than one warhead to take all of it out. Some one wrote a book a while ago called 5000ft above B'ham for Japan like use but not much is made their any more. With MAD using say one for a demo doesn't make much sense as there should be a salvo of the dam things heading to who ever sent it. There are rumours that the Sampson training and test bases in cowes and Portsmouth aren't. We also just spend 1/2 a billion on an American system that will come in to operation within the next few years.
