Hello approx once a day when I turn the hot tap on or the central heating on nothing happens (no error lights). the boiler is dead quiet with just the green power light lit.
I have to resolve this by powering down the boiler wait 10 mins then its ok again.

Does anyone have any ideas please ?

Is it an open vented (Header tank in the loft), or a pressurized system (where you have to top up the pressure sometimes)?

No such thing as an open vented Halstead Ace High, they are sealed pressurised system only

Could be a few things, hot water flow switch, diverter valve, wiring harness, to name a few. You’d be better getting a gas safe registered engineer.

Hello Harry its a pressurized system and its at 1.5 bar do you think it needs more water in the system ??
Powering it off works but I cannot keep resetting it !!

PCBs are notorious on these, an old boiler now , but as already advised by @CBW really needs someone to see it when it wont come on, you get cheap PCBs for them on ebay, it can be a few things though

No - 1.5 bar is fine, I didn't recognise the name.

Very expensive parts, bite the bullet and get rid of the beast, it must be getting on now, put it out of its misery.
