If they were processed efficiently and returned if not entitled to stay it would cost us all a lot less.

But let's just keep banging on about the costs and not about lack of any effective system to control the issue

I'd imagine there are a few thousand claims being prepared right now for compo due to their human rights being abused. All free via legal aid too, so a double whammy for UK taxpayers and working families.

The "system" was not designed for 2% of the males from a single country all invading across the channel 1000 a day. And that does not included the hordes of hundreds of others, all illegal, moving through ten safe countries to chase the free stuff.

The "system", bizarrely, was designed for genuine asylum seekers making genuine claims via legal process and the few hundred per year that stowaway.

Your "intellectual" grasp of the situation is truly staggering.

What about the loony Tory who feel that the current migrant handling just isn't on?

Suppose you think Rwanda can handle 1000's and 1000's. It's marginally better than making artificial waves in the channel.

The real problem is it all comes down to a system that applies more or less world wide and it's no easy task to change that. It also suits at times.

These people don't need to be sent Rwanda, these just need to be sent back to France and told to apply through the normal channels for those who want asylum in the UK.
France isn't an unsafe country for these migrants, so there is no reason for them to enter the UK illegally.

The British offered to police their beaches for them but they declined.
