But where are you really from? Lady-in-waiting has resigned.

I knew a Fireman who supported Chelsea when Mourinho was in charge. He was nuts about them

He called the main hose on his Engine "Hosea"
I knew a Spanish fireman who had twin boys. He named them José and hose B.

During my apprenticeship, I fitted a brake switch on a car while the customer waited. It stopped working the following day. The customer came back and when asked who fitted it, he pointed to me covered in grease and with Curly hair and said "That black kid". Again, I wasn’t offended, I was amused.

Easy mistake to make when I was a greasy teenager!

What utter *******s. This is really the worst thing to have occurred. Ive been asked many many times where am i originally from. That is not racist i do not ever perceive it to be either.
If i said where are you from you 'inset derogatory comment' ok that is potentially racist or at least offensive.

I ask people all the time of all colours (thats inclusive of white.) where are they originally from as i find interesting to hear their stories, if they have an accent or do not look local. Never heard of anyone be offended, is that because they don't want to be offended?

Ive read the transcript and also seen previous tweets associated with the person in question who has already accused the royal family of being racist (white only balcony) the King a domestic abuser etc. Its obvious this lady had an axe to grind (despite her excellent work she does undertake for charity). I would bet had i asked her the same due to my appearance she would have potentially happily obliged on the first ask. Just looking at that lady who looks like Dot Cotton i can see id possibly take offense from her tone, but no i wouldn't reach for the R card.

Are we now not allowed to ask where we may originate from?? Does it depend on their skin colour?

Apparently the lady was

“Traumatised & violated “

Over the questioning / conversation / exchange

This is the same person who runs a

“domestic abuse charity “

Jeez us wept :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I think it is probably hurtful to be asked where your from - it must make a person feel as though they don’t belong in this country. But Im not sure it’s meant to be racist.

Susans Husseys line of questioning seemed rather arrogant to me….but I imagine most women who have a hus named Marmaduke are arrogant.

Yep and instead the Royal family have now said this is racism... utterly ****ed up.
Yep, and somewhat hypocritical...

The Late philip wasn't averse to the odd racist comment was he

Then there is Princess Michael of Kent.
I recall spitting image sketches of her asking for 'Reich Krispies' at breakfast...

Even Harry was caught on video calling a cadet the 'p' word and being derogatory to arabs/muslims...

And then we have Liz...

Who refused to condemn colonial racism throughout her long reign...

Now we have a new king who thought it funny to call people of certain skin colour 'sooty'...

All family upbringing I guess ;)
