What a "waste" or another case of deluded Thunbergian frenzy

Just to make you happy, substitute the word "cobalt" with "lithium".
Hopefully that will please you and your friend Gretin Thunberg.

You're surely not suggesting that the photo is of a typical Australian mineworker, then.

Turns out your post is a load of cobblers.

Is it?, Cobalt is still used in Lithium batteries (although it no longer needs to be), 60% of the world's cobalt is mined in the Congo, often using child labour.

Since only 'artisnal' Cobalt has any issues with child labour, no. It's like complaining about how dangerous Petrol cars are because of the lead additives.

That's partially true, high performance batteries do use Cobalt, but at the low end LFP is replacing it because it doesn't require expensive Cobalt. It made up the majority of EV batteries last year and it's increasing.

Around 20-30% of Congolese cobalt is 'artisnal' and not all of that will be using child labour.

The resources to make petrol are not extracted by slaves.
Anyone driving around in a "green" car feeling superior should be aware that they have blood on their hand, human blood.

Again, most EV batteries don't contain Cobalt. So no, they shouldn't.

But it is true, oil has had no negative effects on children or other people's lives. Ever.

Your soya milk is responsible for the Amazon forest destruction, but it's becoming more and more trendy.
Everything we do is detrimental to a certain extent, but surely i fill up with petrol knowing that no slaves have been employ ed d to produce it.
Then, of course if you prefer slavery to air pollution...

Achieving harmony with nature is a magical journey.

Some set out on that journey with an open mind that is cognitive & receptive, able to absorb their experiences & adapt their lifestyles to accommodate.

Everyone else is virtue signalling & conforming to what they are told.
