If the junction box is accessible ,you can use either.
Is it wired into a lighting circuit ,or a power circuit ?
 
The cables should be restrained where they enter, that's not possible with the round box unless you clip the cables.
The Debox I think has some sort of restraint built into it
 
Just noticed in your picture you also have a loop feed, therefore you need 4 connections, the Debox only has 3 connections.
If you have space then a Hager J804 may be an option.

Thanks that does look a better option.

I did this today using a round junction box and it doesn’t feel great. Sure it won’t kill anyone but will change it at some point ;)
