Can anyone give me an insight what it's like working for the council as a plumber please.
Flexible can mean a few things - fixed hours, but willing to be flexible being one of themIt mentions flexible hours 37 a week but flexible.
You would need to speak to them to find out if this is possible.I was hoping could maybe do more hours Monday to Thursday and Finnish early on a Friday
No, I work for a local housing association (previously a council).Do you work for your local council?

It’s a whole lot better these days, and I enjoy it less than I used to, in terms of having a laugh and I enjoy it more because of the management that I mentioned earlier no longer being in power, but I do get off days, as it can get very monotonousBut has changed back to council now. Do you enjoy it?
My mates son, a fairly newly qualified gas fitter started working for a council a few months ago. They stressed that they were mindful of family time etc and they were good work times. He was only there a month when they changed his start and finish times making him come in an hour later and go home an hour later which meant he caught all the traffic and spent an hour extra travelling each day. He complained but they just said 'tough' so he jacked it in and went somewhere else.It mentions flexible hours 37 a week but flexible.
Are you on the cards ? I worked for a H A in the 80's until the DLO's ( Direct Labour Organisations) were disbanded. Wondered how it like now. Been retired 5 years now.Yes, on boiler breakdowns now but started as a plumber.
