I’m trying to fill a 50 m deep hole in old plaster so I can rehang a curtain pole. I’ve used ronseal big hole filler and left it for 4 days but after drilling and putting plugs in I can see as soon as I put weight on bracket that the plugs are pulling out

Big hole filler not setting hard

Just because you can drill and screw into it doesn't mean that it will have any strength, your fixings need to go beyond the filler into the wall.

Fark, that's a lot of filler.
Oops, I did mean 50 mm
You need to drill 100mm hole for plugs.
What about screwing a wooden batten to the wall using new hole locations and then screwing the pole to the batten. You could make it blend in a bit by routing the edges.
