Clearly you thought it was urgent that it should be brought to the attention of the forum.

Clearly the aricle is not reporting the accurate facts.
People are not arrested for taking photos, and certainly not warned that the police are investigating it a as crime.

It would appear that she was quite active in her campaign.

She had previously written to the group behind the poster, Happy Valley Pride, with concerns about allowing transgender women into female-only spaces.
...
She insisted that she did not place the sticker on the poster and that officers had identified her from CCTV footage.

She possibly placed a sticker on somone else's poster. We don't know what was on the poster, it conveniently wasn't reported.

Anti discrimination laws have existed since about 1999. If a pensioner tries to stir up hatred against transgender, she may be committing a non crime hate incident.
