I have mould on a wall behind kitchen units, is more ventilation the answer?

I was thinking of drilling a few small holes (smaller than mouse size) in the floor under the kitchen units which should bring some air up below and behind the units.

Is this a good idea?

It's a cavity wall with cavity insulation

Then you need good ventilation. Warm air hitting cold surface = condensation / mould.

Thats true. You need to tackle the cause. Ventilation will help with that.

I may have to remove the hardboard backing in the cupboard to clean and paint the mould
