I was thinking of drilling a few small holes (smaller than mouse size) in the floor under the kitchen units which should bring some air up below and behind the units.

Is this a good idea?

Thanks

Then you need good ventilation. Warm air hitting cold surface = condensation / mould.

Ventilation is not going to remove mould, can you access fully to clean ?

Thanks for your replies, yes we have an external vented cooker hood that is used

I may have to remove the hardboard backing in the cupboard to clean and paint the mould
