Patch repair in ceiling - mesh tape needed or not?

Hi,

I need to fix up this access hole from a recent electrical job I had done. I've got a bag of Gyproc EasiFill 60, but I was wondering if I also needed mesh tape to cover it first or for the size of the hole it is, will the EasiFill on its own be sufficient to patch it up?

Easifill is fantastic stuff, i would say no. Just get the consistency right.
