Merry Christmas to all on the forum.

And all the very best from me too for a happy and healthy 2025... OMG I'll have to get a photo driving license.

Best wishes and seasons greetings to one and all. Thank you for putting up with me for all this time. I look forward to continuing for a while longer. I enjoy the interactions between us all.

I applied end of January, birthday 10th March 1951, arrived September, so give them plenty of time, I had to make a on line application on paper through the post, work that out?

Yeah been there with father-in-law.
It will be strange having a plastic driving license to the first time.

Yep, I went through it about 5 years ago, albeit not through choice. For nostalgic reasons, I still have my paper one, albeit it is coming apart at all the folds - not to mention the 'little red book', with multiple stuck-in 'renewals' which are present within it :-)

Yep I have 2 of the green paper licenses (due to one 'never arriving at this office' for a speeding charge but miraculously arriving home in a brown envelope the day after I wormed my way into their office) and the red book which officially is not possible as it was supposed to have been sent off to apply for the paper version.
