Wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run though to just increase the gas storage capacity?

Worryingly I have been seeing social media adverts by vox pop people in the street asking if they know what to do in a power cut, I grabbed a screenshot from one. Also I have seen the same poster on the back of a bus. The stupid net zero nonsense has brought us to this.

I've just been reading that new sites have been explored, but they claim it's not economically viable. Maybe we just don't have the right geology?

I think we keep the liquid gas ships off the coast and use them as the storage, buying gas from USA - who blew up the Nord stream pipeline. You gotta give it to those yanks !
