Although nobody really seems to know how the moderation works.
Simple.

Thread gets reported and the mods get notified. See if it's worthy of removing the post and done.

No mod is allowed to ban anyone though that's all up to the site admin

Do mods watch every post, though. If a thread like this just rumbles on and never gets reported will it run indefinitely?

You've got the preferred views for this forum

Do you think that is all it is. My views are pretty mild and I never get into a feud or insult anyone or test the limits of anything really.

But that was probably for going off topic on technical threads?
No, one was for saying "I started in 1973 with 14th edition regs, did 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th and still have my copy of the ASEE guide somewhere"

Post deleted and not allowed to comment any further in that thread. Also happened in a couple of other threads. Yet a self confessed diyer is going way off topic and has taken a dislike to me because I pulled him up over a couple of electrical statemnents

Well yeah.. but if a mod is online and sees something breaking the rules then they can remove the post etc
