My wife makes a meat pie with a suet top, had that last week.Suet puddings were a staple in the . household when I was growing up.
Pastry is the same but the filling is different. Kidneys though?that sounds like a steak & kidney pudding
I haven't had suet for decades, another thing going on the shopping list for next week.My wife makes a meat pie with a suet top, had that last week.

I like Tom Kerridge, he is a real chef in my opinion.Tom Kerridge started a campaign a few years back to bring trad. English fare up-to-date - "Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain", if y'all interested in how to cook a real Sunday Roast without inducing a coronary. I tend to stick with a roast chicken, since going gluten-free. The mere thought of eating another suet pudding would be fatal.
Nothing like it mate. It was like a swiss roll but with corned beef and onions. The suet pudding was white and stodgy from being steamed and stuck to your ribs but damn it was nice.that sounds like a steak & kidney pudding

Yes same as a steak & kidney pudding then, white suet pudding soggy and stodgy.Nothing like it mate. It was like a swiss roll but with corned beef and onions. The suet pudding was white and stodgy from being steamed and stuck to your ribs but damn it was nice.
