Mine was the same. Mum and dad also liked tripe and pigs trotters :sick:
but I suppose it was what they got used to during rationing.
Can't say I've ever tried those two thank God but yeah needs must and all of that. We don't know what it is to be really hungry, I'd wolf down Shippams sardine and tomato paste no problem if I was really hungry.

Weirdest thing I've ever eaten is dried insects.

Whatever anyone says, our traditional puddings with custard are some of the best. Uncomplicated, satisfying and loaded with things that we probably shouldn't eat.

It was good enough for my generation and those before. We also had fresh fruit salad and fruit crumbles and stewed fruit. Do you hate yourself for being British? Assuming you are of course.

Stewed rhubarb.
Rhubarb and apple crumble.
