I just find this whole kissing thing bizarre, I fail to see why it would be necessary for consent to be given. kissing and hugging is just spotaneous surely:

It's best to assume that no one wants you to kiss them on the lips. Most folk would find that kind of intimacy a wee bit odd, unless it is from your nearest and dearest.

yes but in this case it was an affectionate kiss of congratulations, not a criminal act
