The grid switch is quite common, and you can select the dimmer you want, but with some exceptions, when you dim an LED bulb the colour temperature remains static, Philips did make some bulbs, where there were two LED's one high and one low colour temperature, so the bulb would emulate a tungsten bulb,
but to be frank not seen any for sale.
So in the main, to get the ambiance, you need smart bulbs, there are dimmer switches made, but not in the same way, often wireless.
The other problem is price, and the smart bulb has come down in price, the last one was £5 from poundland, so not sure worth using a dimmer switch any more.
