Are we witnessing, in real time, the collapse of the left wing.

Just make a number up.

come on Lirefighter, lets here what work experience you have and which country you live in

Youve joined this forum, but you have stated literally nothing about yourself at all, I wonder if you are genuine or just a trouble making troll....now is the time to show you are actually a person wanting to be part of this community rather than simply stir trouble

It's OK Notch, I can vouch for him.

Arguably 1970

In 1918, about half the adult population were granted a vote. Most of the men who had marched off to give their lives in the trenches had never had a vote.

In 1928, the other half of the adult population were granted a vote.

Britain cannot be described as being a democracy when half the adult population, or more, were disenfranchised.

Biker boy disagrees with these dates, for unknown reasons.

Poor Lirefighter cant handle the truth so he attacks the message (which isnt tik tok, so poor old Lirefighter cant even get that correct)
it will be a slow burner a bit like Brexit............time will prove Trump sold a con

Trump promised he would cut prices on day 1, but he hasnt his policies are raising prices
Oh dear he even admits he lied:

Trump says Americans could feel ‘some pain' from tariffs. What products could be affected?

Trump is one month in and Americans are already mad at him about inflation

US Consumer Confidence Plummets In February

We're there no employees?

Dictators
Communists ( USSR)
Or military juntas

All during my life time

You think 1918 or 1928, was the beginning of democracy in the UK?

I could just as easily argue that it wasn't until the Parliament Acts that the elected representatives had power over the unelected representatives or perhaps the First Reform Act of 1832. Another view would be that it occurred once the King conceded rights and power 1215 or 1707 when it was applied to the union. You've picked two dates in the timeline and set about convincing everyone you know something. Good luck with that.

Why not take it as far as 1689, the advent of Democracy in this country...as already mentioned on another thread.

An equally valid argument.

I am very willing to assert that a country cannot be described as democratic if more than half the adult population has no vote.

You disagree.

Good luck with that.

What is the point of having a vote, if an unelected power has authority over the will of the democratically elected representatives? So that will be 1949 then.

For me The Great Charter of Liberties 1215 was more important.
