In an ideal world but British politics is characterised by what issues divide people rather than finding common ground, and it isnt going to change any time soon.

Allowing certain politicins to exploit divisive issues certainly contributes to a deterioration of the political class and society in general.
In a word: 'Bre*it'. In the widening cracks of our culture, Reform has been allowed to grow like a pernicious weed.

As far as I can tell, Rupert Lowe actually works hard as a constituency MP representing the people of Great Yarmouth and he makes an effort in Westminster to get involved in parliamentary business.

I personally fully disagree with with his Reform politics, but I give him full credit for doing his job and getting involved in the real day to day politics instead of just putting all his energy into getting media bandwidth.

He donates his MP salary to charity too.

Rupert Lowe was relatively unknown before all this hullabaloo.
Rumours are that Rupert wants Nigels job and all the antics about calling in the police could be part of his strategy to get some free publicity and exposure to the public and wider membership of Reform.
