Do you mean our grammar schools, here in the UK? That was originally the plan going back decades. But for various reasons it didn't really work. I think NI has kept more grammar schools than other parts of the UK.

Scotland:
  • Maximum Hours: 14-year-olds can work a maximum of 2 hours on weekdays and Sundays, and 5 hours on Saturdays.

  • Working Hours: They can work up to 5 hours a day, with a maximum of 25 hours a week during school holidays.


So not the same at all

He needs investment to re industrialise his country, but who will risk that with current uncertainties? Tax cuts are more likely to be kept by the rich, external investment will involve tariffed imports.

Regrettably unlike NI where I believe grammar schools are still the norm, they have all but died out in the UK. Fast track the education of tomorrow’s scientists but let people who want a trade leave at 14.

clown its not about them workin whilst still at school its about them being allowed to leave school at 14 and enter the work place

Scotlands proposal does not allow 14 year olds to enter the workplace full time, only college or apprenticeship.

Florida want to allow 14 year olds be allowed to work full time including full night shifts.

Poor gas112 WRONG on everything

i have never heard of any part time apprenticeships and what happens if the apprenticeship fails do they go back to school or stay in the workplace
Is that how you got your A level in woodwork.
