For god sake, are you so padantic that you have to have word for word recited in a way that you can only understand. Israeli citizens are not allowed in most parts of Gaza without their passports and in most cases are forbidden to enter a lot of places in Bethlehem, the birth site is one of those areas. now I believe there is one day in the year that they are allowed to enter but it is for trouble causing and demonstrating, I doubt your guide would have been one of those.
