Reform' policies require two massive processes in order to initiate their policy:
1. Leave the ECHR
2. Dismantle the UK's Human Right's Act.

There are other UN initiatives that UK has signed up to that would require UK to exit, e.g. the Good Friday Agreement would be trashed if UK left the ECHR. This would impact the UK Human Rights Act, which incorporates ECHR into UK law.

For about a decade various Governments have promised to reduce immigration, yet it continues to increase, mainly due to legal immigration, rather than small boat crossings.
Their master plan is to pick up small boat occupants and take them back to France.

We've heard from several posters over the last week that this is not possible without the cooperation of France, and is in contravention of UNCLOS.
Reform have not elucidated how they intend to gain that cooperation.

I find it incredibly funny that mbk was going on about UNCLOS, and how small boats full of asylum seekers could be prevented from crossing into UK waters, when Farage was quoting UNCLOS when he claimed that it allowed UK to take asylum seekers back to France without their permission.

If UK ever tried it the French would react in one of two ways:
1. Prevent the UK Border Force boats from entering French water, and or ports, because they would be justifiably considered as 'not innocent', or
2. Allow the UK Border Force to enter the port, and disembark their passengers. Then promptly impound the Border Force boats.

How many boats does Border Force have before the impounded boats comprise their whole fleet?

Reforms “solution” is to tow the boats back to France……which we all know is not legal without France agreeing.
Reforms policy is basically a rehash of Conservatives failed policy from 2022.


Farage has made a career out of shouting from the sidelines and never having to take responsibility for anything.
