Government rethink re winter fuel payments

They are telling people what they want to hear.
You mean like
Sir Keir Starmer - "smash the gangs"
Starmer announces U-turn on winter fuel payment cuts
watering down £5bn worth of disability benefit cuts
scraping the two-child benefit cap.
Totally blinkered when it comes to your labour party.

Farage has made a career out of shouting from the sidelines and never having to take responsibility for anything.

He might not actually want power. Others in Reform are beginning to realise that.

Aveatry I would appreciate if you could explain how Reform would fund end 2 child cap and restoring WFA, bearing in mind Reform UK proposes tax cuts that it estimates would cost nearly £90 billion per year, and spending increases of £50 billion per year

Your starter for 10…..

Before the election Starmer said whatever he thought would get him into government he jumped on every bandwagon that went by - when there was no band waggon to jump on he sat on the fence until a suitable one came by. He ain't changed none since gaining power.

This is the modern way. Politicians in the West have realised that the public no longer have the ability to confront tough choices.

And yet you can’t give a single example.

Farage is too autocratic to form a government. He falls out with all the heiracy of Reform by being too dictatorial. He's not a team player so difficult to see how he would ever change to be suitable for government.

How else does politics work, policies and u turns are preferable to the post brexhit torey vacuum (the upside being the death of the Torey party as we know it).

You know that's a double negative, right?
Its was supposed to be a quote from pirates of the Caribbean although I messed it up - this is the actual quote I was thinking of.
Twigg: -- Last time I saw you, you were all alone on a godforsaken island, shrinking into the distance. His fortunes aren?t improved much.
