I need to refloor my shed the osd below has gone soft is around 15 years old. What would be best to use. If I got a sheet of plywood I wouldn't get it in in one piece. I thought of P5 chipboard as can get the pieces in and glue together. Any thoughts thanks
A good quality external ply and then if needed to be cut to fit, joined and screwed onto stout battens for securing. OSB could be a substitute but IMO good smooth ply would be best.
is the 2mx1.8 external or internal floor size??
the only reason i ask is if its external wall size and you have say 12mm cladding and 70mm frame that reduces the floor area by 164 so 1836x 1636 so 3sqm where as a 2.440x1220mm sheet is 2.9sqm so full length at the door odds and sods at the the back
probably not a realistic option iff joints are on a floaty or weak section but opens you up to say 18mm ply at the door along the long wall and main floor with osb/chipboard /whatever in the 415mm band left at the wall
