Not for buying oranges. It was linked to FOM, the single market was never mentioned. It was a condition of being in the single market, accepting the four freedoms.

You mean what you think should be a Reform sound bite?We now don't have FOM but still buy their oranges. Maybe he didn't mean it to sound like a Reform sound bite.

No, I definitely don't think it should be, it's misleading. You mean what you think should be a Reform sound bite?

You totally missed the point about the immigration issues didn't you.Good. Job done as far as I’m concerned. If they want to buy from us, fine. If they want to sell to us, also fine. Don’t link sales of goods to automatic freedom of movement. We don't do it with others so why the insistence we do it with them? Perhaps if we were a pìss poor country and nobody wanted to move here and there were many better ones, then I might have a different view. Let’s face it, how many Spanish, French or Italians come here compared to Latvians, Lithuanians, Romanians etc? You don’t hear of Romanian pickpocketing gangs setting up shop in Slovenia, do you?
migrants are lazy, they just come here for benefits and freebies says MottieGood. Job done as far as I’m concerned. If they want to buy from us, fine. If they want to sell to us, also fine. Immigration for those that are needed, apply and accepted was never a problem. Unchecked immigration was. That’s stopped now.You totally missed the point about the immigration issues didn't you.
Brexit didn't solve it, as some believed it would.
The major criminal gangs in the UK were not born here, especially the Romanian pickpocketing gangs says Mottie.migrants are lazy, they just come here for benefits and freebies says Mottie
migrants are taking our jobs and undercutting wages because they are so hard working says Mottie
asylum seekers are filling up NHS waiting times says Mottie

Has it? OkImmigration for those that are needed, apply and accepted was never a problem. Unchecked immigration was. That’s stopped now.

Still a no go from me.What if we could avoid freedom of movement but we accepted everything else involved with the single market and the customs union. Obviously, it's a hypothetical at the moment.
That is the EUThe, UK should make trade deals with other countries that primarily benefit the, UK
For 2 main reasons:Why should we be hobbled by what Greece wants, or Spain, or Germany etc, etc when agreeing a deal with, Australia?

Because we'd get a better deal. It isn't rocket science...Why should we be hobbled by what Greece wants, or Spain, or Germany etc, etc when agreeing a deal with, Australia?

Boats weren't an issue when we were in the EU.Economic migrants who come over on boats and claim asylum are mainly young, fit, single men says Mottie.

Are you implying that it's a good idea to be an, EU member so that we can bully smaller independent nations? That is the EU
For 2 main reasons:
1) Because EU 28 had gdp of around $18trillion
U.K. has gdp of around $3trillion
So EU has far more leverage, it’s a far larger market.
2) because the benefits of frictionless trade with our largest trade partner on our doorstep far out weighs any benefits of UK only trade deals
3) 75% of our trade is with EU, China, USA, Japan, India, Canada
We have a trade deal (albeit weak) with EU, we have zero chance of any trade deal with USA or China……and as an EU member we already had trade deals with Japan, Canada, Mexico etc
So the only trade deals we can do is with small countries thousands of miles away

Why would we get a better deal?Because we'd get a better deal. It isn't rocket science...

More countries, more people, bigger buying power, more clout. Why would we get a better deal?
