Nobody is talking about going back to 150ppm, though. They are simply trying to stop it going over 500ppm. Global dimming would be a last resort if everything else fails and we are hitting climate Armageddon.

I can actually appreciate why not everyone believes in climate change. Although the basic physics behind it was proved by experiments almost two centuries ago, it is far from instinctive. Many non-scientific people still don't accept that gases in the atmosphere can trap heat and cause the temperature of the earth to rise.
