Yup that’s the best thing.

Don’t caulk anything.

Prime before the final screed coat will be screw specific, check the recommendations but the better screeds possibly won’t need priming.

And use the Mapei you recommended for final layer?
Also, is there a specific type of screed more Sui for what I require eg fibre reinforced?

You can build the height up with self leveller and bulk it with granite chippings, or, use a cement/mortar.

Wish I had known this when I was levelling an outside undercover area, probably about 50mm but a steep drop 2.5m x2m to be levelled from a bigger area. But it just kept eating and eating bags and bags of the stuff the the OP I wouldn’t attempt levelling that deep again but adding the chippings sounds like a good idea

How much do you need?

Jewsons sell a 5.5mm Flooring Grade ply which will be fine as you are using a finishing coat screed over the top.
