Yes horrible thing that happened to that dog, but I'm believng it wasn't intended until proven otherwise.

I've killed things to put them out of their misery A horse was worst, I had to shoot it. I've also stood next to a lion that had to go, which was snared and festering, almost dead.. It certainly tugs on your emotions.
I hope there's someone around to do it for me if needed.

The dog was locked in a crate. Hence it couldn’t get food and water. Poor thing.

It was shut in the box after having returned from the vet after an operation. It starved to death, as did Gene Hackman who probably wasn't aware of his wife's death. Someone reported he might've been alright if he had a mobile phone, but Hackman didn't get on with modern tech at all...but i fail to see how it would've helped in his condition, as he wouldn't remember he had one. Alzheimer's is a terrible curse.

In that condition it'd be up to a relative or spouse to decide on an end-of-life procedure and i guess a provision would have to be made while the person is still lucid enough to make that call.

Kids?? No goats in my family I raised four daughters, one of whom was adopted after briefly fostering from two days old.
They all know I have DNR on my medical records, but we as a family have not discussed 'assisted death' therefore as I'm aging as each day passes, I guess the conversation will be had at some time in the future with my wife and children. Maybe also grandchildren as my youngest is 18.

On to the HoL where they'll pour cold water and blow hot air on it in equal measure for a year or two and, if it passes, the law will take affect by the end of the decade.

I was thinking of all of them, more Labor if anything. But in a world where it’s a justified tactic of war to eviscerate children, it probably seemed churlish not to help people kill themselves. You can almost see the first half dozen google search returns already purchased by the private sector keen to help with paperwork for a not so modest fee.
