What breed was it?

Well it all started where we was all sat outside in the beer garden simply minding our own business. I noticed this dog walking towards us and our eyes locked. We were staring at each other each thinking the same thing. One of us isn't going to make it. All of the sudden it let out a ferocious growl and started galloping towards us, Everyone was screaming and throwing their drinks in the air then all ran into the pub leaving me and this dog to fight to the death. Everyone was screaming at me to run and my mate shouted at me, "don't turn your back on him or he will tear you to pieces" great for my confidence and nerves at this point.
