All the videos I have seen show that you can use a bending spring to bend plastic conduit 90 deg.

Is it possible to bend it only 30 or 45 degrees ?

Got an internal spring? Rub the tube with a thick rag to heat it up, then bend to desired angle. Follow that by pouring cold water over it to rapidly set the bend.

as in heat through friction ?
there has to be a better method? immerse in boiling water ?

How the hell are you going to immerse a section of a 3m long tube in boiling water?

I strongly suspect that people questioning the rag method have never tried it.

I've only done it a few times - watched a video, thought "that looks pretty straightforward", tried it, it was pretty straightforward (on the 2nd attempt, 1st one I managed to let the spring slip).

Thanks. Could I heat it up with a hair dryer?
Try using a rag first.

I thought you were heating the spring up - the whole thing sounded a bit odd

so what are you bending, that white 20mm (?) plastic conduit ?
can you really get enough heat in it by rubbing it up and down ? its an action I imagine I am well trained at but that would be a lot of heat

and are you just dropping a normal 15mm spring (for copper pipe) to stop it kinking

A 20mm spring

ahh - you get proper springs for them !
I'm going to go and try and bend some after my dinner - eems unlikely I will get the heat into it

only have a 15mm spring but that should do
