Where is the DPC

Purchased new home couple years ago - The DPC at the front of my house is visible however, at the rear I can't see it? We haven't had any damp or mould issues so far in any of the rooms facing the garden.

I was wondering if I should paint on bitumen DPC or should I leave it? Don't want to unintentionally cause bridging!

As some ill-informed renderer has spread the render all over the external elevations, it is difficult to determine with any certainty. As you can see the position at the front, transfer the same dimensions to the rear and you should locate the DPC. I have rendered elevations, but the rendering correctly stops at the DPC and a S/S 'drip-edge beading' was fitted before smooth rendering below the DPC to paving level.

Have those slabs raised the ground level about the DPC?

There is a drain gully visible in the first photo. Is that low down at the original ground level?

The slabs and gully are all below the ground level inside the house

OP,
Do you have solid floors or suspended floors?
Did you buy a newly built house 3yrs ago?
Where on your pic is the DPC visible?
Where do you propose "to paint on a bitumen DPC"?

No problems? Leave it be! Millions of houses with bridged dpc including my own..built 1952.

This is an old house, 1900s I believe.

The reason I ask is, I wanted to build a deck on top of the paved patio so it's the same height as the rooms inside so it's easier for small children to run out.
