I noticed Job and Knock has disappeared from the forum. Excellent posts on carpentry. Did he have enough?

He was fed up giving advice to people on here who were then charging customers, I wonder who that could of being Johnny?

I could be wrong, but I have a feeling he resurrected himself fairly recently as @GhostIntMachine - certainly had a similar knowledge of joinery and tools....

as far as i know he is fine
i dont think he would come back as an alter ego as he is strait-laced and like me has one tag on many forums he is also fully old school and open like me but he is far far older than me as i am 71 and a bit he is already 72:giggle:

I found him very wooden.
He reminded me of my Pakistani barber. He would only talk Hairdo.

I'm fairly certain he wasn't Ghost in the machine - but i've wondered if he still pops on under the name of Mr Rusty - i could be wrong but he certainly doesn't visit the GD anymore.

It's perfectly possible to use the forum and completely ignore whole sections/certain posters, plenty do so.

If you're referring to me, I think you're mistaken.
I'm a carpenter myself and respected job & knock with all my heart.
Very knowledgeable guy with plenty of experience.
I don't remember ever having an argument with him, in fact, we exchanged advice even via pm.
I've been retired for a long time and I don't charge customers anymore, I only do work for friends and family and very occasionally I get sucked into jobs for friends of friends at very cheap rates and only for small jobs.
So, it must be another Johnny you're talking about.

I thought it was pretty obvious who Andy was referring to, not that I ever thought it was an issue on here., if you don't want to give advice to certain posters then don't.
