He is determined to prevent a two-state solution, so he will not want the Arab, and the rest of the world, peace aims to be achieved.

Canada will join Britain and France in recognising a Palestinian state in September, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced.

The decision, which comes during international condemnation of growing levels of starvation in Gaza, makes Canada the latest G7 country to champion Palestinian statehood as pressure grows on Israel to end its offensive in the enclave.

"Canada has long been committed to a two-state solution, an independent, viable and sovereign Palestinian state, living side by side with the state of Israel in peace and security,” Carney said at a press conference on Wednesday."

I don't see how anybody can say anything other than, a 2 state solution is the only LONG TERM answer.

USA and Israel seem to be the only main countries against it. Unusual that we are not jumping as high as USA must surely be telling us to !

Why not? they,ve agreed to it in the past, The Palestinians were the stumbling block, rejecting a two state solution in 1937, 1947 and twice prior to the Oslo accords. As long as Israel are guaranteed security why should they disagree?

Yes, but with a lot more countries in support, the Palestinians might get a deal which actually favours them and allows them to keep land Israel has not yet stolen.
