My house alarm battery needs replacing. Says risco group and eurosec when I open alarm up. Where can I find the right battery? Can’t see anything on their website.

For Jesus sake do not fit that ….its not the correct battery ITS BEEN BODGED…..
How comes? That’s the battery that came with the alarm in the photo. Or do you mean the battery on eBay?

My apologies @Mars0, I was just going off the information provided. Also, when you search risco eurosec alarm battery, several others also picture that battery, and the same as @sparkymarka, who is a respected poster on here.

For Jesus sake do not fit that ….its not the correct battery ITS BEEN BODGED…..below is the battery suitable for that panel from Toolstation ….
Thank you. I will take a visit to toolstation tomorrow.
When Iv googled it says there’s two types of batteries. One for the panels memory and clock. The other for entire alarm and outside siren.

Reason I thought battery was dead - when electric cuts out the alarm bell would sound.

That battery is designed to fit in a bellbox to provide the SAB function…It’s only 8.4 v where as your alarm back up battery is 13.8 v
I would remove that battery and check the control panel is giving out 13.8 v ….it may have damaged the panel
There is only one battery in the control panel ….don’t believe what google says …

Ok fab, thanks. Sorry but how to I check if control panel is giving out 13.8v?
I would contact the company that fitted the alarm to replace battery, but going by what you have said they don’t seem to know themselves
