Warwickshire rapists. Who are they?

Quite a lot seem to have been 4 star. But when I checked the tripadvisor reviews for the last few to be named in the media, the reviews were absolutely appalling. They all seemed to have fit the same pattern of being very rundown and unpopular. That doesn't stop them being four star. There are plenty of hotels in awful condition with four star ratings.
Can you supply the ratings for each hotel please ? Or some links.

Just to satisfy my curiosity.

GIYF.

It is pretty easy. Just comb back through the last few Daily Mail stories on this issue. Try the one in Canary Wharf and the one in Epping to start with. I actually posted a couple of reviews on other threads.

Increased occupancy rate due to government block booking them.
I was being a little sarcastic, but you knew that.

I’d love those reviews for the last few 4 star hotels please

So no proof then, that’s not like you…..

So in the absence of your lack of proof. They are 4 star hotels. You make it too easy.

It is very easy. I am not going to do it for you.

Bell Hotel, Epping

Britannia Hotel, Canary Wharf.

The website you need is called Tripadvisor.

Here is one I posted earlier to get you started. Do you see where it says 1092 out of 1172 hotels in London:

That makes sense. You hear four star and you think luxury. But I imagine the ones used for asylum seekers are mainly very run down. Britannia hotels always seem to be hotels that have been neglected for many years. The one in the papers today has a very poor rating on TripAdvisor.

A recent review:

Even if the hotel paid me to stay, I wouldn't stay - avoid at all costs
Avoid - the room smells of decay and I couldn't breathe properly. When I walked into the room, the window was open , yet the room still smelt of a mix of mould, dust and decay. I could hardly breath, after being in the room for just 30 minutes and had to check out . I asked for a refund, though I booked through Expedia, this hotel is not fit for purpose. Premiere Inn much better.

Now look up the Ritz in London. Let us know what their rating is on Trustpilot and give us a few examples of the lowest ratings.

Do those reviews reduce the star rating ?

I don’t think they do; and some of the reviews are ridiculous!

Shall I pull up a load of good review now? Then we can decide our own star rating ? Or shall we lower it based on the one you posted above ?

Most of the recent 1/5 star reviews are because the booking was cancelled, due to a large “group” booking.

You couldn’t make it up lol.

You are looking at 4 reviews out of 6,000.

It is a sh1t hole.

But still with 4 stars.

Which proves my point.

The most recent 1 star rating. Overall 3.1, but obviously some the ratings are not about the quality of the hotel itself

I was a travelling from Australia and had already paid for an Afternoon Tea at the Ritz and even paid for a cake for my special occasion. When I was getting ready at my London hotel I noticed that my shirt dis not fit. When I spoke to the Ritz, that were unhelpful and didn’t care that I would lose all my money as I could not have a tie and jacket. As an overseas traveller they didn’t care that I had no other clothing to wear and didn’t offer any other alternative to just not allowing me and my wife to attend. They really don’t care if you have issues outside your control. Very poor service.

It proves even 4 star hotels aren’t perfect.

But it doesn’t prove the accommodation and food is “basic”

But it does reinforce it’s an actual 4 star hotel. Thank you.
